Kamiar 'Kami’ Rokni is a popular Pakistani fashion designer. Kami graduated from Pakistan School of Fashion Design in 2000 and launched Karma with Maheen Ali in 2001. He was the creative mind behind the label which quickly rose to prominence, becoming one of the most sought after brands in Pakistan. Kami introduced and popularized many trends in the local fashion industry, including the ‘star burst’ and traditional ‘kundan’ work. Kamiyar Rokhni’s Lawn Prints Exhibition and his Fashion Show was held at Royal Palm Golf And Country, The event was organized by Faria Altaf it was an amazing event many celebrities like Sahar Atif, Hassan Niazi, Azfar Rehman and Jugan Kazim were present there to support Kamiyar Rokhni and to celebrate his success. Other designers like HSY, Lajwanti, Hina Butt, Omer saeed and Nomi Ansari were seen at the event. The models who did ramp walk for Kamiyar Rokhni’s Lawn prints collection included Alyzeh Gabol, Saima Pasha, Urwa Hocane, Ayesha Khan, Sana Tauseef and Nadia Hussain.
Overall the event was delightful and very impressive as Kamiyar Rokhni proved and showed his talent to the world that he has a lot of potential in him. Refreshments and Snacks were served at the event while the Fashion show was going on. Kamiyar Rokhni was spotted at the ramp, he was sitting there and giving a detailed introduction of all the dresses as the models came on the ramp. The event was ended by a great response of audience. PANTENE BRIDAL COUTURE  WEEK  2012 - DAY 1
LAHORE – Here we go again another glamorous bridal couture week which was held on the 19th and 20th of February at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club Lahore, organized by Style 360 and J&S, the team that collaborated to present Carnival De Couture 2011 in Karachi earlier.
The event is a platform to exhibit local and international talent and services.
It is hoped that the stage will also facilitate business relationships. People from all over the country were expected to gather and witness this great fashion event; to have a glimpse at the ethnic and contemporary variety of bridal fashion of Pakistan.
Ali Xeeshan, a participant of the Bridal Couture Week 2012, expressed positivity for the show on Sunday and said it was an ntertainment and a business platform meant to attract interested investors, customers and stake holders.
“I am very proud to be associated with this mega event, and I got an excellent response last year as well. I was positive about this year too and it went great,” he said, confidently. “My collection is called Bint-e-Falak, and is based on bridal and wedding simplicity which was prevalent back in the 40s. Over the years, though, we have lost it and lavish weddings and bridals are in vogue. I wanted to show my brides as simple, demure, and basic. I don’t focus on too much embellishment.”
In this marketing effort, the aim was to bring all wedding businesses under one roof to showcase upcoming trends, and to help provide stakeholders with opportunities to showcase, book and engage with their direct customer base. Of course such an event was to inspire local as well as foreign. Many other designers showcasted their best collection. Fashion lovers from all over the country attended the glorious occasion. On the first day HSY, Kamiyar Rokhni, Tauseef Hussain, Mehdi, Allan and Ali Xeeshan showcasted their collections.
The event was a great time for everyone present there all the people loved the bridal couture week and one of the best thing was that the whole event gave all the “to be” brides a great idea of what to wear on their wedding day. There were many models who participated in the bridal couture week. Models like Vaneeza Ahmed, Nazia Hussain Samina Pasha, Ayyan, Arooj did ramp walk. Quratulain Baloch made a special appreance on the Bridal Couture Week she performed her song “Akhiyanu Ren De” on the ramp.
Out of all the collections Mona khan’s collection was the best she showcasted her clothes showing very contempory designs she indulged her contempory design with Western cuts.

INTERVIEW BY SAAD SULTAN
Saad Sultan, a very talented and known producer/composer. Has worked with many artists. Saad has been playing sessions for many mainstream artists as well. Which includes Ali zafar, Noori , Shiraz Upal, Jal the band and recently Farhan Saeed, who is the ex vocalist of Jal the band. Saad Sultan has also been providing background score for various documentries.
It was really kind of Saad Sultan to take out time for us and amswer our few questions.

Saad: You are most welcome
Interviewer: Saad tell us something about your entire struggling phase?
Saad: Well I have been playing with various artists since the age of 15. The first person with whom I started my career was Shiraz Upal I played guitar for him with that I provided some of the background scores to various documentaries and Music channels like the channel “Aag” later on I worked with the band Noori did a couple of shows with them after that I joined Jal the band and worked with them for 6 years
Interviewer: So now we heard that you are working with Farhan Saeed? If so then why did you parted ways with Jal the band
Saad: As everyone knows now that Farhan Saeed who was the lead vocalist of Jal the band has left the work so yes I am working with him mainly because as a musician I am more comfortable in working with him. He is a very soulful musician who gives his best in music and our scales match a lot and as far as its about why we parted ways with Jal well there are numerous of reasons one big reason was this that in Jal only one person composed the songs so we didn’t get to explore the world of music in our way (not that he wasn’t looking for our suggestions *smiles*) but besides that there are many reasons which I believe would be very unethical of me to disclose because we have been like a family so it would be realy unethical of me to bring everything out but yes obviously there are reasons for the break up of the band.
Interviewer: So tell us about your recent projects?
Saad: Well recently we have been out of Pakistan, We were in India for shows yesterday we came back to Pakistan it was a really good tour had a great time on our shows and recently we came out with a track which was a tribute to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, WE covered his song “Halka Halka Saroor” vocals were by Farhan saeedof course and I arranged and produced the song. After that we came out with a music video known as “Khawaishyoun” the production was mine, vocals were by Farhan Saeed at bass we had Amir Aly and at drums it was Fahad Khan, The video is bascially based on a musician’s life  we have tried to show that they are normal people who sleep and act as a normal human but when they come on stage they have to provide and come up with their best forgetting everything happening in their life this song can be related to all the artists of the world. Now we are coming up with a new video which will be known as “Pee Jaoun” the video has been directed by Parlaj Jee(Indian director) and I hope everyone would love it. It will be released in a day or two besides working with Farhan Saeed I am running my own recording studio known as Sidreal studio so I help everyone with compositions and producing music.

The art of bread making at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club where bread eating is custom, bread making has acquired the status of art. Connoisseurs of food all over the world consider breads one of the essentials of every cuisine. Although the traditional ‘’bread’’ was only a staple food in most Western parts of the world, today it has become quite popular in the East as well. The changing trends in culture, fashion, habits, language, arts and craft etc have also opened new vistas of changing development in the avenue of food making and ingestion.
Bread is one of the oldest prepared foods, dating back to the era. The development of leavened bread can probably also be traced to prehistoric times. This essential of the food family is a link that creates a connection through time.
Bread is traditionally prepared by baking dough of flour and water. It may be leavened or unleavened. Salt, fat and a leavening agent such as yeast are common ingredients, though breads may contain a range of other ingredients: milk, egg, sugar, spice, fruit, (such as raisins) vegetables (such as onion), nuts (such as walnuts), or seeds (such as sesame and poppy seeds)

MEHNDI CERMONY HOSTED BY MR. AND MR.S RAZA ZAIDI

A mehndi ceremony hosted by MR. and Mrs. Raza Zaidi of their son Ali Raza Zaidi. The mehndi took place in Royal Palm Golf and Country Club on the 21st February. The event took place in the hall known as Babul Shams. The ceremony was attended by family and friends, after the arrival of the bride and groom and as the custom of putting “mehndi” on the hands of the groom and the bride, the friends of groom and bride danced later on a small musical show was organised for all the friends and family. The ceremony was very beautiful. The bride and the groom were given a lot of prayers and wishes for a happy and healthy life.

CHEF WALIM ASGHAR AT ROYAL PALM
Chef Walim Asghar is in Royal Palm Golf Country Club. Chef Walim Asghar is one of the top chefs of Pakistan. Everyone does get carried away with his home made and traditional recipes. Since Chef Walim Asghar has entered the permises of Royal Palm Golf and Country Club their standard is much more better and higher now the food tastes perfect and the sales has also increased for sure. On a great demand of the members of Royal Palm Club we requested Chef Walim Asghar to reveal his few traditional recipes or atleast a secret to his recipes. It was very kind and generous of him that he gave us the entire recipe of his very famous sauce and a dessert. So here we go with the recipes:
PAPRIKA MAYONNAISE GARLIC SAUCE:
Ingredients:
Mayonnaise  100gm

Paprika 05gm

Garlic (crushed) 15gm

Lemon juice  10 ml

salt 1 pinch

parsley (chopped) ½ teaspoon.
Method
Mix all the igredients in a bowl and serve this sauce with fried sea
food.
Another recipe by chef Walim Asghar was of his very famous dessert:
Easy strawberry cheese salad
Ingredients:
1 (3oz.) package strawberry/banana jello
1 cup boiling water
10 ounce package of sliced strawberries
1 banana mashed
1 can crushed pineapple
3oz. package cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
In a cup,combine jello and 1 cup boiling water. Stir until strawberries break apart. Drain the pineapple and add to the berries. Add the mashed banana. Spoon half of the jello mixture into an 8 inch.Chill until set. Set other half of the mixture aside and leave at room temperature. Combine the cream cheese, sour cream and walnuts. Spread evenly over set jello. Pour remaining jello mixture over cheese mixture. Chill until set. cut into squares and serve on crisp lettuce leaves.

Finally I have started making my newspaper today all the news I collected I am putting it down on the program,  ill be using is Adobe Photoshop Cs5.
Size of my pages will be 600mm in width and and 750mm in height
ill be dividing my newspaper into 8 columns via Photoshop's ruler and margins will be left as well
various tools will be used like text tool, cropping tool, etc
Both the pages will be designed on Adobe Photoshop
