BREED OF BREAD
The art of bread making at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club where bread eating is custom, bread making has acquired the status of art. Connoisseurs of food all over the world consider breads one of the essentials of every cuisine. Although the traditional ‘’bread’’ was only a staple food in most Western parts of the world, today it has become quite popular in the East as well. The changing trends in culture, fashion, habits, language, arts and craft etc have also opened new vistas of changing development in the avenue of food making and ingestion.
Bread is one of the oldest prepared foods, dating back to the era. The development of leavened bread can probably also be traced to prehistoric times. This essential of the food family is a link that creates a connection through time.
Bread is traditionally prepared by baking dough of flour and water. It may be leavened or unleavened. Salt, fat and a leavening agent such as yeast are common ingredients, though breads may contain a range of other ingredients: milk, egg, sugar, spice, fruit, (such as raisins) vegetables (such as onion), nuts (such as walnuts), or seeds (such as sesame and poppy seeds)
